Biography

Schulich Executive Learning Centre

For more than 25 years, I’ve helped organizations find their ways to build cultures of trust, inclusion and engagement. Working closely with leaders, we build the conditions for successful staff engagement and equip leaders and contributors with the thinking and behaviors that sustain vitality.

The approaches I use are adjusted to every client and have a common foundation: an appreciative mindset. With senior leaders, managers and front line contributors, we study the root causes of organizational success and then multiply that success. The end result is organizations, departments or teams connected and passionate about the services they deliver, the products they make and the clients they serve.

Over the past years, I've had the opportunity to work with great clients. Together, we've:

  • Developed a Certificate of leadership in Municipal Environments and have equipped over 1000municipal leaders with the thinking and skills to improve productivity, labor relations and engage staff.
  • Co-led organizational change in Academic and Health Care settings.
  • Developed cultures of trust in Social Service and Paramedic Services
  • Coached executive teams in regional governments, social housing and industrial settings

What excites me is to see what happens when organizational leaders set the table well for their colleagues and staff to be fully engaged. It's amazing to watch the transformation of teams and departments as they see, through the day to day behaviors, beliefs and communications of their leaders, that they are valued contributors to the success of their organization.
