Mariano Mastrogiorgio is Assistant Professor at IE Business School, Department of Strategy. He teaches Strategic Management and Introduction to Management in the undergraduate programs at IE University.

He holds a PhD in Business Administration and Quantitative Methods from Universidad Carlos III de Madrid. He was visiting researcher at New York University Stern School of Business, department of management and organizations. He holds a Master of Science in Business Administration and Quantitative Methods from Universidad Carlos III de Madrid, a Master of Science in Economics and Social Sciences from Bocconi University, and a Bachelor in Economics and Social Sciences from Bocconi University.

His research lies in the broad areas of strategy and innovation, at the intersection of behavioral theories, technology evolution studies, complexity economics and quantitative patent analysis. His work has been presented at international conferences such as Academy of Management, Strategic Management Society, Druid and Informs. He has published in top journals such as Organization Science, Research Policy and Industrial and Corporate Change.
