Overview
I am involved in both undergraduate and postgraduate teaching in the School of Dentistry and the Institute of Population Health. I am also the Public and Patient Involvement lead for the School of Dentistry and PGR Trainer.
I am currently working on a number of research projects including:
- Measuring and improving the quality of primary care dental health services
- An investigation of the barriers and facilitators to role substitution in dental health services
- A process evaluation of a randomised controlled trial of caries prevention in children
- A number of systematic reviews including the efficacy of water fluoridation for the prevention of dental caries
Biography
I completed by first degree in Social Policy and Sociology at the University of Sheffield in 2006. I went on to complete an MA in Social Research at the University of Manchester and a PhD in Social and Behavioural Medicine at the University of Salford. I was appointed as a Systematic Reviewer in the School of Dentistry in 2012 and as Lecturer in Oral Health Research in 2014
