Biography

Academy Leadership

A combat veteran and successful business woman, Lori has over 20 years of experience successfully developing leaders and teams to optimal levels, initially in the US Army and now in higher education, non-profits, and corporate America. Lori was one of the first women to graduate from West Point. As an Air Assault, Airborne qualified soldier, she was a true pioneer as one the first women ever in Combat Arms branches. During Desert Storm, she served as an Air Defense Artillery Officer with the PATRIOT missile system. Early in her Army career, Lori identified and embraced a personal mission to develop and pursue positive and impactful leadership.

At Accenture, Lori started as a Change Management Consultant and was hand-picked to become a Learning and Process Coach for their premier, goal-based learning course for managers on Delivering Client Value, Fundamentals of Strategy, and Introduction to Strategic Consulting. She was also the point of contact for Project Team Training and was one of the first people certified in Production Planning by SAP.

As an Adjunct Professor for almost 16 years, Lori taught Leadership, Leading Change, and Managing Organizations for a revolutionary online Master of Business Administration (MBA) program using experiential goal-based learning. During her tenure, she was asked to completely transform their Leading Change course. Currently, she teaches courses and guest lectures for both remote and in-person students at Elmhurst University.

In addition to a Bachelor of Science from the United States Military Academy, Lori has a Master of Education from Ohio University, where her focus was Women in Leadership. Lori also has an MBA from Elmhurst University, where she recently won the University’s Alumni Merit Award for Distinguished Service to Society.
