Biography
SDA Bocconi School of Management
Fenech Lorenzo is an Associate Professor of Practice of Government, Health and Not for Profit at SDA Bocconi School of Management.
He teaches Health Operations Management and Private Healthcare Market Management in numerous Executive courses of Healthcare Management. He is the coordinator of the Executive Master in Healthcare Management, EMMAS.
His collaboration with SDA Bocconi began in 2012 in the Observatory on Private Healthcare Consumption, where he continues to study trends in the private sector and public entrepreneurship. He then started a collaboration with the Patient Flow Logistics Lab and widened his scope of research and teaching to include health operations management (2017-2018). His researches currently focuses on four topics: emergency care; outpatient flow logistics; healthcare operations and coproduction; private and public integration in patient service operations.
He is the author of a number of essays,articles and chapters on his topics of interest. His works have been published in Health Policy, Economia&Management, Salute e Territorio, OASI Reports-CERGAS SDA Bocconi, ISTISAN (National Health Authority Reports). His research within the Observatory on Private Health Consumption has been reported in Italian newspapers such as Il Sole24Ore, Corriere della Sera and Repubblica, thus increasing his visibility on a national level. He was a speaker, among other occasions, at the IRSPM CONFERENCE Hong Kong, 13-15 April 2016, and at the EHMA Conference Milan 2017.
Lorenzo earned a degree cum laude in Economics from l'Università Sapienza, Rome and a Master in Healthcare Management (MiMS) from SDA Bocconi School of Management. He was a Visiting Scholar at Alfred Lerner College of Business and Economics at UDEL, University of Delaware, USA where he pursued upskilling in his areas of interest and beyond. Lorenzo holds dual citizenship: Italian and Maltese.
