Krisztina Büti’s research interests involve empirical corporate finance, behavioral finance and information processing in financial markets. Her current research discusses the role of market frictions in price efficiency around corporate acquisition events and market learning about the investment opportunity set of acquirers. Her dissertation won the John F. Doukas award at the 2016 Annual Meetings of the European Financial Management Association.

Krisztina earned her Ph.D. at the University of Utah in 2016. Prior to embarking on doctoral studies she was an accomplished industry researcher and senior lecturer at Central European University in Budapest, Hungary. She holds a CFA designation, an MBA degree, and an MA in Economics.
