Biography

Klavier received her M.Phil. and Ph.D. (communication studies) at Hong Kong Baptist University. She is a researcher of East Asian film history and popular culture industry. She worked as a university researcher and lecturer and had worked closely with different archives. Striving to foster moving image heritage preservation in Asia, Klavier is awarded the Hong Kong Government Scholarship of Excellence Scheme to pursue further study at MIAP. At MIAP, Klavier had her internships at Special Collections in NYU Libraries, Department of Film Digital Restoration Deparment at Taiwan Film and Audiovisual Institute, and La MaMa Experimental Theatre Club Archive.
