Kevin Kelly

Kevin G. Kelly  serves as Director of Operational Transformation & Lean at the New York State Energy Research & Development Authority (NYSERDA). Prior to his current position, Kevin served as Chief Operating Officer of New York State Homes & Community Renewal (HCR).

Before working for New York State, Kevin served for over 10 years in the Bloomberg administration, as deputy commissioner of NYC Business in the New York City Mayor''s Office and in various leadership positions at the NYC Department of Small Business Services (SBS). Kevin joined SBS in February 2004 as executive director of Strategic Operations for the Workforce Development Division, where he revamped operations and implemented new systems in the NYC Workforce1 Career Centers.

Prior to joining SBS, Kevin worked in the private sector as a management consultant, devising and implementing working capital improvement strategies for Fortune 500 companies. He lived and worked overseas for many years, primarily in Latin America and Europe. His early career included work as a Small Business Advisor with the Peace Corps in Costa Rica and as an Operations Analyst at the New York City Transit Authority. He serves on the Board of Directors of Upwardly Global.

Kevin received a BA in urban studies from Columbia University; an MA in international studies from the University of Pennsylvania; and an MBA with distinction from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.
