Biography

School of Continuing Studies

Kelly is the President and Founder of Lewis Leadership Group, a leadership development and leadership coaching firm committed to helping organizations and individuals uncover their power and joy. Kelly leverages her in-depth knowledge of Polarity Thinking coupled with her fifteen years as a Fortune 500 executive to understand the complexity and context her clients lead within. She helps her clients navigate the paradox present in today’s leadership landscape (Focus on Employees and Focus on the Bottom Line; Being Candid and Being Diplomatic; Delivering Results and Cultivating Relationships, Honoring the Past and Innovating for the Future) by embracing a both/and mindset and skillset. Kelly works from a principle that leadership is a way of being, not just something we do. She believes the seeds of leadership exist in every young person, woman, and man and those seeds flourish when we experience that just right place between being supported and challenged. Kelly is honored to serve on the teaching faculty and as the Co-Director of the Certificate in Polarities & Paradox. She is a contributing author to On Becoming a Leadership Coach (2008). Kelly earned a Leadership Coaching Certificate from Georgetown University and has been designated a Professional Certified Coach by the International Coaching Federation. Kelly was awarded Workforce Management’s Game Changer Award for the innovative design and transformative outcomes of her leadership development programs. Additionally, she earned a B.S. in Business Management from Virginia Tech University. Kelly resides in Richmond, Virginia, with her husband and two pups.
