About the course
In this session, participants will deepen their ability to see polarities at both the personal and relationship level. Leaders, coaches, and practitioners will learn how polarities can be used to leverage resistance as a springboard for change while expanding their capacity to use polarities in intrapersonal and interpersonal transformation. Participants will use paradox to tackle questions such as: What are my preferences and blind spots, and how do they impact my effectiveness? How do I help myself and others get unstuck? Where is the wisdom in my resistance to change and how can it be used as a resource?
Case studies and activities will help participants dive into the practical application of polarities as a resource for transformation and continuity. Instructors will share relevant facilitation and coaching techniques for using polarities with individuals and teams.
Upon successful completion of this course, participants will be able to:
- Identify and “see polarities” to apply polarity theory at the personal and relationship level.
- Demonstrate how polarities aid in personal transformation.
- Explore how polarities can illuminate and navigate resistance to change.
- Apply polarities to diversity and inclusion topics at the personal and interpersonal levels.
