Katie Gove, Research Director, Gartner (formerly Managing Director, Trellis)

Katie Gove a seasoned professional with substantial experience in consulting, management, and research with a focus on strategy, innovation and change primarily in outsourcing, offshoring, and technology.

Katie spent the past decade at Trellis working with clients to improve outcomes in outsourcing and offshoring by helping companies to focus on value, improve internal and shared processes to drive better outcomes, and to build outsourcing/offshoring strategies that are directly connected to business strategies. She is continuing to work in this fascinating area with her move to Gartner as of February 2018. At Gartner, Katie is conducting research and advising clients in sourcing strategies, vendor relationship management, nearshoring and process outsourcing.

Speaking engagements include IAOP (International Association of Outsourcing Professionals) European Outsourcing Summits 2015 and 2016; NASSCOM Nordic Summit 2015; World BPO/ITO Forum 2013 in New York on behalf of the Danish Foreign Ministry; SOFTExpo 2014 and Positioning Bangladesh 2012 in Dhaka on behalf of the UN’s ITC agency; The Managed Services World Congress in London 2013; and the Nordic IT Sourcing 2014 conference. Jury panel of the 2016 and 2017 Central and Eastern European Shared Services and Outsourcing Awards.

As part of Katie''s work, she has been involved IT and ITeS sector development in projects in Uganda, Kenya, Bangladesh, and Sri Lanka, the goal of which was to help the developing IT and ITeS sectors in these countries to grow via increasing exports.

Katie''s broad industry experience includes manufacturing, pharmaceuticals, and technology. Her managerial experience includes defining and controlling budgets, personnel development, and serving on the management committee of a mid-size technology firm. Her entrepreneurial experience includes founding Trellis in 2008 in addition to five years in venture capital earlier in her career.
