Kareem Tawfic

Kareem Tawfic is an adjunct professor in the Law in Practice program and an associate attorney at the law firm of Faegre Drinker Biddle & Reath LLP. Tawfic advises clients on a variety of corporate matters, including mergers and acquisitions, capital markets transactions, securities regulation, and corporate governance. In addition to his transactional practice, Tawfic maintains an active pro bono litigation practice where he represents tenants in various landlord-tenant litigation.

Tawfic graduated from the University of Minnesota Law School where he was a student attorney for the Business Law Clinic, advising both start-up and corporate ventures on issues related to formation, governance, and contract drafting. During law school, he also served as a judicial extern for Chief Judge John R. Tunheim of the U.S. District Court for the District of Minnesota and competed nationally on the law school's mock trial and moot court teams.
