Carlson School of Management
Julie Thiel serves as the Vice President of Talent Management for Schwan’s Company. Since joining Schwan’s in 2015, Julie has been the human resources leader for the Schwan’s Consumer Brands business, leads the company’s learning, development, diversity and inclusion function, and recently gained responsibility for both national talent acquisition efforts and post-merger culture integration. Julie is passionate about helping employees reach their full potential and building the next generation of authentic leaders.
Julie has more than 20 years of multi-industry experience, which includes human resources leadership roles with companies such as Target Corporation, McGladrey and Analysts International. You will also find Julie serving as a workforce development advocate on the Board of Directors for the Greater Metropolitan Workforce Council and leading the Women Invested in Leadership and Learning (W.I.L.L) program which mentors and develops female athletes at the University of Minnesota. Julie received her bachelor’s degree in psychology and master’s degree in human resources from University of Illinois in Urbana-Champaign.
