He earned his Ph.D. in management and his MBA from IESE. He also holds a degree in law from the Universidad Complutense de Madrid and a B.A. in business administration from ICADE.
Prof. Vázquez-Dodero has worked as a consultant for both large businesses and smaller enterprises in sectors as diverse as tourism, the manufacture of aeronautical parts, textiles and the Internet. He also boasts several years of entrepreneurial experience, which enabled him to gain "vital" insight into the daily life of entrepreneurs and executives. This is where his interest for prudential decision making originally stems from.
Prof. Vázquez-Dodero has collaborated with major business schools such as IAE in Argentina, IEEM in Uruguay, PAD in Peru and AESE in Portugal and is involved in the training of professors for the Instituto San Telmo and IESE itself.
He is the author or co-author of several books, book chapters and journal articles. Currently underway is a book on prudence in decision-making, a theme he also addresses in an article for the IESE Alumni Magazine, in which he compares the qualities and faults of Shakespeare''s Ceasar with those of current executives.
Prof. Vázquez-Dodero is also currently doing research on an all-encompassing training program for future management and business faculties. Such a program would not only be targeted at researchers and professors but also at the institution''s consultants and executives.
