BIOGRAPHY
A one-time Financial Economist for the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, Josh brings a wealth of regulatory experience to his research and the classroom.
Publications
Professor White's work has been featured in a variety of finance and accounting journals, including the Journal of Financial Economics, Journal of Accounting & Economics, The Accounting Review, Journal of Corporate Finance, and Journal of Banking & Finance. Additionally, he has published scholarly work in law journals, authored White Papers for the SEC, and contributed to blog posts for Harvard and Columbia Law Schools.
Teaching
Professor White teaches Managerial Finance and Corporate Financial Policy in the MSF, MBA, Executive MBA, and Master of Management in Health Care programs.
RESEARCH INTERESTS
Professor White studies how information asymmetries and divergent incentives among capital market participants affect corporate actions and value. His work often focuses on the role of disclosure and securities regulation in addressing information disparities. Recent topics include CEO pay disclosure, human capital disclosure, and biotech startup financing.
