Joseph Sakshaug

Biography

Joseph Sakshaug is Senior Lecturer in Social Statistics at the University of Manchester. He is also Distinguished Researcher in the Department of Statistical Methods at the German Institute for Employment Research, Faculty Member of the International Program in Survey and Data Science, and Adjunct Research Assistant Professor in the Survey Research Center of the Institute for Social Research at the University of Michigan. Previously, he worked as Assistant Professor of Statistics and Social Science Methodology at the University of Mannheim, Germany. His research has been funded by the British Academy, the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation, the German Science Foundation, the U.S. National Science Foundation, the U.S. Census Bureau, and the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. He has served as consultant for several international organizations, including the European Foundation for the Improvement of Living and Working Conditions (Eurofound), the European Science Foundation, and the UAE Federal Demographics Council. He also serves as Associate Editor for the Journal of Official Statistics, the Journal of Survey Statistics and Methodology, and Survey Research Methods, and_ is a member of the Methodological Advisory Committee for _Understanding Society – The UK Household Longitudinal Study.
