Professor Russell leverages his business experience to explore all the aspects of effective deployment of IT to achieve business excellence.
Industry & Academic Experience
Professor Russell has more than 20 years experience in business. He has built and deployed over $400M of software products and custom software solutions. His most recent experience has been in senior management as Chief Operating Officer of the Carnegie Group, taking Carnegie through growth, an IPO, and then running the sales and delivery functions of a public software services firm. Most recently Professor Russell participated in the e-commerce revolution as a Managing Partner with Zefer, where he delivered over $100M of e-commerce software solutions and developed a best-of-breed delivery excellence program. Professor Russell''s early career was in academia. He has taught at Stony Brook and Ohio State as well as at University Colleges at Dublin and Cork.
