He holds a PhD with European Mention in Business Administration from Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya as well as an MBA and undergraduate degree in Business Administration from ESADE. Professionally, his work has always been associated with IT system project consulting, combining his academic and professional activities. He specializes in executive IT projects and strategic plans. He has written and published numerous case studies in the IT area: Aventis, RACC, Aguirre Newman, Government Intelligence in Catalan public universities, "SAP (A) from Value to Volume", "SAP (B) The DG Barcelona Hub", Raventos i Blanc, MIS America Grupo Santander, Bodegas Torres and the Spanish Society for Digestive Pathologies (SEPD), among others.

He has also published articles in scientific journals such as Organization Science and he has authored the book, Business Intelligence: Competing with Data. He is a Guest Professor at Católica Porto Business School, a member of the Big Data CoE Advisory Group and track-chair for Spanish-language case studies in the North American Case Research Association (NACRA). He has also served as E-learning Director at ESADE where he has taught since 1989. He has also published articles in scientific journals such as Organization Science and he has authored the book, Business Intelligence: Competing with Data.
