Biography

-

Served as Associate Chair of the Department of Modern Languages and Literatures as well as professor of Spanish. My duties as Associate Chair included the scheduling of classes for a department of over 60 members, the creation and implementation of a new modern language entrance examination, convening faculty meetings and arbitrating in faculty disputes, scheduling undergraduate classes, as well as evaluating adjunct faculty.

My position as Associate Chair was concurrent with my teaching a course load of four undergraduate Spanish courses per semester, including Elementary Spanish I and II, Intermediate Spanish I and II, Approached to Literature, Modern Spanish Fiction, Cervantes Don Quijote, as well as a number of independent studies. I held weekly office hours to deal with student issues and concerns and served a Freshman Advisor for incoming students at Fordham College at Rose Hill. Served on the Arts and Sciences Council and on the Faculty Senate, in place of the Department Chaitr, when necessary.
