John Percival is a Professor of Business Administration at Minerva Schools. He was the founder and CEO of J.R.P. Associates, a provider of executive education and consulting in finance for clients in the U.S., Europe and Asia. He taught finance at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania from 1971 until June of 2014. At Wharton, he held the positions of Adjunct Professor of Finance, Assistant Professor of Finance and Associate Director and Associate Vice Dean of the M.B.A. Program.
Dr. Percival has been very active in developing and teaching in executive education programs. At Wharton, he was the Finance Area Coordinator for the Advanced Management Program, the Academic Director for the Creating Value Through Financial Management Program, and the Director for the CFO: Becoming a Strategic Partner Program. Professor Percival developed the finance module for the Wharton Direct distance learning program. He has developed programs for many companies, including G.E., Marathon, Pitney Bowes, I.B.M., Continental Tire, Chubb, Hartford, Genworth, Sun Life, Vulcan Materials, McCormick, Johnson, and Johnson, Ford, Progressive, and Alfa Insurance. He has participated in executive education programs at Penn State, Carnegie-Mellon, Columbia, University of Minnesota, University of Illinois, University of Missouri, University of Cape Town, E. O. I. (Madrid), INSEAD (Fontainebleau), Nomura School of Advanced Management (Tokyo), I.E.S.A. (Caracas), Ibmec (Rio de Janeiro), I.B.O. (Zeist), I.P.A.D.E. (Mexico City), the Stockholm School of Economics and Imperial College (London).
