Experience

Prior to joining CCL, Jessica balanced dual careers in which she held leadership positions and managed large, geographically dispersed teams in both the corporate and academic arenas. She has experience working with a broad range of industries, especially Management Consulting, Health Care, Consumer Product Goods, Construction Management, and Arts and Entertainment. Over the past 13 years, Jessica has worked with corporate, government, non-profit, and education clients on four continents.

She has been a lecturer in the Johns Hopkins University Department of Psychological & Brain Sciences, the Johns Hopkins Carey Business School, and Harvard University. Her Positive Psychology course was rated one of the best courses at Johns Hopkins, and she has the distinction of having won a teaching award for every course that she taught at Harvard. She also served as the Director of Career Programs & Advising at the Johns Hopkins Carey Business School, where she was responsible for all executive training and professional development on four campuses throughout Maryland and Washington, D.C. for 1,700 students and 18,000 alumni. In that role, she developed and taught all required MBA career-related courses, and maintained client relationships in the US, UK, Ecuador, Singapore, Malaysia, and China. While working at the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania, Jessica managed all international and domestic relationships with Management Consulting and Health Care companies. Her areas of specialty include Neuroleadership and Positive Psychology.

Current Role

Jessica designs and delivers custom solutions by partnering with clients from a variety of industries in order to meet their most pressing development needs. She also facilitates several leadership development programs including Maximizing Your Leadership Potential, Leadership Fundamentals, the Assessment Certification Workshop, and CCL’s original Leadership Development Program. In addition to her role as Leadership Solutions Partner, Jessica serves as a CCL-certified Executive Coach for executives at all levels.

Educational Background

Jessica holds an M.S. in Mental Health Counseling from the Johns Hopkins University and a B.A. in Sociology from Brandeis University. As a counselor, she has worked with a broad range of clients, including inpatients at the Sheppard Pratt Center for Eating Disorders and inmates at the Maryland Correctional Institute for Women. Jessica is a certified facilitator of the following assessments: Strengths Deployment Inventory (SDI), Myers-Briggs (MBTI), FIRO-B and FIRO-Business, Workplace Big 5 (WB5P), 4MAT, Influence Style Indicator (ISI), and Gallup StrengthsFinders. She is also certified in CCL’s suite of 360-degree assessments.

Professional Affiliations

Jessica regularly presents as a Keynote Speaker and Advanced Practitioner for organizations and conferences around the world. Her work centers on the intersection of neuroscience, positive psychology, and leadership development, and includes topics such as communication, boundary-spanning, grit and resilience, influence, and enacting behavioral change in order to reach personal and professional potential. She is affiliated with the American Counseling Association, and is a member of the National Counseling Honor Society, Chi Sigma Iota. Jessica served on the Board of Directors for Meals on Wheels of Greater Maryland from 2012 – 2014. Since 2016, she has served on the Board of Directors for the Red Cross of the Piedmont Triad.
