Biography

Jeffrey J. Wilcox is the Corporate Vice President for Engineering, at the Lockheed Martin Corporation. In this capacity, he is responsible for leading the Corporation’s developing and executing strategy for the Lockheed Martin Engineering Enterprise and its 63,000 engineers, scientists, and technical workforce. He collaborates with the Corporation’s Business Area leadership to ensure the right people, processes, tools, and technologies are in place to successfully deliver solutions to the customer’s most complex challenges.

Previously, Mr. Wilcox was the Corporate Vice President for Systems and Software Engineering, at the Lockheed Martin Corporation. In that role, he was responsible for directing the development and implementation of enterprise-wide systems and software engineering processes, tools, technology, and training with special emphasis on complex, software-intensive systems development from May 2007 to September 2009.

Throughout his career, Mr. Wilcox has led several critical initiatives for the Lockheed Martin Corporation, including Engineering for Affordability, the Systems and Software Initiative, the Advancing Manufacturing Initiative, and the Energy Solutions Campaign launch.

Prior to joining Lockheed Martin, Mr. Wilcox served in a variety of increasingly responsible positions at Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC) in McLean, Virginia including Senior Vice President, where he led business planning and analysis for the multi-hundred million dollar Technology and Advanced Systems business unit. During his tenure at SAIC, he progressed through the executive ranks and held positions in areas such as advanced weapon systems engineering and the integration of complex sensor systems.

Mr. Wilcox graduated from Drexel University, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania with a master’s degree in Electrical Engineering and Western Reserve University, Cleveland, Ohio with a degree in Biomedical Engineering. Mr. Wilcox holds an honorary doctorate of Engineering from Stevens Institute of Technology, Hoboken, New Jersey.

Mr. Wilcox’s serves on the Drexel University Leadership Council, the Stevens Institute of Technology School of Systems and Enterprises Advisory Board, the Aerospace Industries Association (AIA) Technical Operations Council, the MIT Open Course Ware Next Decade Alliance Advisory Council, the US Manufacturing Competitiveness Initiative (USMCI) Steering Committee, the Lockheed Martin Program Management Council, the Lockheed Martin Corporate Quality Council, and the Lockheed Martin Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) Integrated Product Team (IPT). Mr. Wilcox is an American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA) Associate Fellow and a Senior Member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE).
