Jeff has broad experience in strategy development (general business, product, market, supply chain, manufacturing and service/service parts) and operations (design/development, improvement, performance metrics; in manufacturing and service delivery environments). He has extensive experience across supply chain segments, including sales & operations planning, planning/scheduling, procurement, manufacturing, transportation/logistics and service operations.

Biography
Jeff Smiley offers students the benefit of his rich international business experience. His extensive work in this hemisphere is particularly valuable to the Americas MBA program, which he has directed since its beginnings in 2012. He posesses 10 years-plus of experience as a principal with a global management consulting firm, tempered with significant industry knowledge.
Impact
Jeff has directly advised C-level executives, directors and senior managers in Fortune 100 companies regarding business strategy and performance, profitability and process improvement, supply chain, procurement, product development, manufacturing and service delivery.
As a small sample of his work in Latin America:
In Brazil, on behalf of a $3 . 5B consumer products manufacturer headquartered in the U.S., Jeff performed manufacturing and supply chain feasibility analyses for potential green field production/distribution facilities. In Canada, he led the service parts/service event strategy development for all joint-venture distributors operating in that country for a $12B industrial OEM headquartered in the U.S. In Mexico, he led the implementation of middle-ware IT software to support integration of applications for volume allocation, planning and scheduling processes between the North American entities of an automotive OEM.
Teaching
Jeff teaches Operations and Strategy in the Americas MBA program. He developed a Strategy and Operations Consulting course for second-year students incorporating an actual client consulting engagement.
