Biography

Rotterdam School of Management

Jean-Philippe Bonardi is a full professor of Strategic Management at HEC Lausanne, University of Lausanne.

His research concentrates on the interface between Political Economy and Business Strategy. In particular, he looks at firms’ nonmarket activities, i.e., how firms manage their relationships with governments, international organizations, the media, interest groups, NGOs or activists. He is therefore interested in the business-public policy interface both in a local and a global context.

In its current work, Jean-Philippe Bonardi also studies the impact of monetary policies and macroeconomic phenomena on business strategies.

Jean-Philippe Bonardi holds a Ph.D. from HEC School of Management in Paris. He has also taught during 7 years at the Richard Ivey School of Business at the University of Western Ontario.
