Independent School Consultant at Metamotivation Consulting, Return on Wellness, University of Chicago Booth School of Business
My experience and deep interests:
I am based in: Chicago
I have professionally lived at various intersections of the education, psychology, and corporate world(s) for the past ten years. A global and lifelong learner, I am literate in Greek, fluent in French, and conversant in Korean. I hold a B.A. in English from Wesleyan University (Connecticut) and an M.A. in Psychology from Pepperdine University, where I specialized my research on the physiological benefits of yoga and meditation in treating complex psychiatric disorders.
I am currently involved in ongoing research/writing projects out of the University of Chicago Booth School that explore consumer decision-making via behavioral lens, as it pertains to public health and policy. I plan to extend the same multi-disciplinary, research-rigorous approach to develop further corporate programs on engagement.
Prior to my recent move to Chicago, I served as COO of the Executive Corporate Learning Forum (ECLF), a boutique consortium of European Fortune 500 L&D leaders. In addition, I headed operations for the Six Skills Research project, borne out of the McKinsey article on the six social media skills every corporate executive needs. My visit to GE Crotonville during the ECLF annual conference solidified my passion for corporate education.
Before leaping into the business world, my seven years in education saw me building a highly successful student mentorship program at a progressive private school, working as a Life Skills counselor, and developing a first-ever school newspaper as a girl-bullying intervention. I have proposed, developed, and taught original elementary-age enrichment curriculum on Europe and the Middle East, Asia, and Island Culture, and the Art of Storytelling.
Beyond my graduate research, I have researched and studied Mindfulness through the UCLA Mindfulness Awareness Research Center (MARC), completed a silent meditation retreat at Thich Nhat Hanh’s Deerpark Monastery, trained as a Life Skills mentor at the Ojai Foundation, and have practiced yoga consistently for the past twelve years.
