James Bauman

Mr. James L. Bauman, also known as Jim, has been Executive Vice President of Industrial Business Group at 3M Company since July 1, 2017. Mr. Bauman served as Executive Vice President of Electronics & Energy Business Group at 3M Company from October 7, 2015 to July 1, 2017. Mr. Bauman served as Senior Vice President of Business Transformation - Americas at 3M Company from January 1, 2015 to October 7, 2015. He served as Senior Vice President of Asia Pacific at 3M Company since 2012 until December 31, 2014. He served as a Vice President and General Manager of Business of 3M Company from March 2008 to 2012 and also served as its Head of Automotive - Industrial & Transportation Business. Mr. Bauman served as Vice President and General Manager for the automotive division of 3M Company in St. Paul from 2008 to 2012. He joined 3M as a division engineer in 1982 and subsequently held functional and business positions of increasing responsibility in both the Industrial and Electronics and Energy Business Groups. Mr. Bauman graduated from Marquette University, with a B.S. in mechanical engineering in 1983.
