Maastricht School of Management

Jakomijn van Wijk is an assistant professor of Sustainable Business and Interim Director of the DBA School at the Maastricht School of Management, Netherlands. She completed her PhD at VU University Amsterdam and her MSc in political science of the environment at Radboud University Nijmegen and Linköping University (Sweden).

Prior to her PhD education, Jakomijn worked in the business (consultancy firm), government (Netherlands Environmental Assessment Agency) and education & research (National University of Costa Rica). In addition, she worked for NHTV Breda University of Applied Sciences where she developed the minor “Sustainable Business Development in the Tourism Industry.” Her research focuses on processes of institutional change towards sustainability, partnership networks in global value chains and entrepreneurship for inclusive development.
