Graduated from Athens, Greece in 2007 and then moved to the UK to undertake a Master’s Degree in Cancer Therapeutics at St Barts and the London School of Medicine, Queen Mary University. This was followed by his foundation and core surgical training years. Since October 2012, he has been working towards a PhD for Imperial College London. His thesis involves analysis of body composition for patients undergoing surgery for colorectal cancer and its relationship with the immune system and outcomes. He is currently a teaching fellow in General Surgery for Imperial College based at Northwick Park Hospital. He also completed a teaching degree in 2014 leading to accreditation with the Higher Education Academy.
