Biography
ESCP Europe Business School
Florian Lüdeke-Freund is Lecturer at ESCP Europe (Berlin campus), where he also holds the Chair for Corporate Sustainability. He is a Research Fellow at the Centre for Sustainability Management, Leuphana University, and the Governing Responsible Business Research Environment at Copenhagen Business School, Denmark. Prior to joining ESCP Europe in October 2017, he held a postdoctoral position at the University of Hamburg and earned a PhD in social sciences and economics in 2013 at Leuphana University. Florian holds a Diploma in social sciences and economics.
His research deals with corporate sustainability, sustainable entrepreneurship, business models, and innovation. Besides publishing numerous journal articles and book chapters on these topics, he is guest editor of journal special issues with Organization & Environment, Business & Society, and the Journal of Business Models. Florian Lüdeke-Freund is serving on different advisory boards, including the Journal of Business Models and the annual International Conference on New Business Models. He is an active member of the Strongly Sustainable Business Model Group at OCAD University, Toronto, Canada, and has been a visiting researcher at the Universities of St. Gallen, Switzerland, and Stellenbosch, South Africa.
