Fatemeh are currently an Assistant Professor of Finance at Tilburg University. She received her PhD in Finance in May 2017 from Stockholm School of Economics. Prior to Fatemeh´s PhD studies, She earned a M.Sc. in Economic System Engineering and B.Sc. in Industrial Engineering from Sharif University of Technology in Iran.

Fatemeh´s main research interests lie in the field of entrepreneurial finance, but she is also interested in the topics in corporate finance, household finance, as well as labor and finance. Fateme´s most recent research is focused on the effect of financial constraints on entrepreneurial activities. More specifically, she investigate how family wealth (the wealth of parents, siblings, grandparents, and aunts/uncles) stimulates entry into entrepreneurship and affects the size and composition of firm capital through direct and indirect financing channels. She also working on a project studying serial entrepreneurship.
