Biography

ESADE Business School

He has spent the last ten years researching and studying in depth the so-called ''knowledge society'' and the characteristics that work ecology should have for the development of this society.

Since its creation, ESADE''s Institute for Labour Studies (IEL), which he currently runs, has been used as an instrument of applied research in this work ecology.

In general, he has adopted the work models of the European Community (EC). His research always takes the EC as a reference, because he understands that it is within this framework that the Spanish economy has possibilities of advancing toward the knowledge society.

As the co-ordinator in charge in the last two years, he has supervised four studies that have already been published and which have as a common denominator the concept of quality of life at work, a complex concept, well defined in the first report and which relates quality at work to the knowledge society. A further three reports are currently being prepared on the same subject.
