Biography

ESADE Business School

Founder and managing partner of Alonso & Asociados. A lobbyist in Brussels for 30 years, his law firm advises companies, associations and administrations on the five continents on international regulation, advocacy and lobbying.

For fourteen years (1986-1999), he has been the representative in Brussels of the Superior Council of Spanish Chambers of Commerce (currently the Spanish Chamber of Commerce) before the EU and Eurochambres.

He has a Law degree from the University of León, an LLM in EU Law from the College of Europe in Bruges and a Master's in Business Administration from the Free University of Brussels.

For years, he has combined his professional activity with the analysis and dissemination of the functioning of the EU and international institutions. He is a regular contributor to the Spanish press. He has been a professor at the Carlos III University of Madrid, at the Institute of Public Affairs and Lobbying and currently teaches at Schiller University and at ESCP Europe.
