Hertie School of Governance
Eliška Drápalová is a Thyssen Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Hertie School of Governance. And Principal investigator of Project "Explaining the Varieties of Performance of Local Governments across New and Old Democracies" financed by the Fritz Thyssen Foundation. She is a political scientist with research interests in quality of government, political economy, regional and local governance, corruption and public service delivery. Drápalová obtained her Ph.D. in Political Economy from the European University Institute in Florence in 2016. She was a visiting researcher at the Quality of Government Institute in Gothenburg, Scuola Normale Superiore in Florence, Czech Academy of Science in Prague and the Centre for Good Governance Studies Babes-Bolyai University, Cluj Napoca Romania.
