Luiz Furlan

Luiz Furlan has served in multiple strategy, operations and technology leadership roles in the financial services, insurance and healthcare industries. He has extensive experience leading complex global projects, transformations and teams.

Luiz has worked for several Fortune 100 companies including, but not limited to, Blue Cross and Blue Shield, Walgreen Co., Diners Club International, Discover Card, and Fidelity Investments.

Parallel to his corporate career, for the past 6 years, Luiz has been an Adjunct Professor at DePaul University in Chicago, IL, USA; He teaches the DePaul Project Management Certificate Program from the DePaul School of Executive Professional Education and is Professor of Executive Education for WDI, University of Michigan

Luiz was also a visiting professor at Wake Forest University, Charlotte, North Carolina – USA in the fall of 2017. Furlan was invited to write and teach Wake Forest's first Project Management Certificate Program as part of your Department of Continuing Professional Education.

His teaching style focuses on translating theory into real world applications. Her motivation comes from multiple experiences, both as an undergraduate and graduate student, where professors demonstrated strong theoretical domain knowledge, but limited experience executing and delivering assignments in the real world.
