Kelley School of Business

Dr. Austrom is co-founder of Turning Point Associates (TPA) and Adjutant Solutions Group consulting firms. He has over three decades of international consulting experience helping clients adapt quickly to the uncertainties of ever-changing and increasingly competitive business environments. He specializes in strategy, organizational change, customer-driven innovation, and leadership team building.

Dr. Austrom is an Adjunct Professor with Indiana University’s Kelley School of Business. He teaches courses on Strategy, Leadership and Change Management. Doug has received several teaching excellence awards in both undergraduate and MBA programs.

Dr. Austrom is also a faculty member in Indiana University’s Kelley Executive Partners and Purdue University’s Center for Food and Agricultural Business. He has developed and delivered executive education programs for several of their clients including Land o’ Lakes, Manitowoc, Whirlpool Corporation, LaSalle Bank, BFS Diversified, John Deere, Cummins Engine, Ingersoll-Rand, Rolls-Royce plc, Ashland Inc., the USAGroup, and the Agriculture Retail Executive Management Forum. He has supported numerous clients with individualized leadership development, executive coaching, and 360 degree feedback.

TPA and ASG work collaboratively with their clients to develop customized solutions that accelerate the implementation of strategic, cultural, and technological changes. They have assisted a regional, national, and international clientele in both the for-profit and not-for-profit sectors including Eli Lilly and Company, Wyeth-Ayerst Research, IvyTech Community College, National Government Services, Elanco, Dow AgroSciences, Indiana Economic Development Corporation, E. Merck KGaA, Sandoz, AT&T, BAA, Boehringer Mannheim, Rolls-Royce, Remy International, Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra, and The Nature Conservancy.
