Executive School of Management, Technology and Law

Dr. Dirk Middelschulte is working as Global General Counsel Competition at Unilever in Brussels since October 2017. Before that, he held the position of Global Compliance Director at Danone in Paris.

From 2006 to 2014, Dirk Middelschulte was in-house lawyer in the fields of IP, regulation and competition law at the headquarters of Deutsche Bahn AG in Berlin. Since 2009 he was Group Head of Antitrust Advice & Compliance.

Prior to this, he was lawyer at Zirngibl Langwieser Rechtsanwälte in Berlin and Munich.

Dr. Middelschulte studied law at the University of Freiburg i. Br., Edinburgh and Munich. Thereafter he completed the legal clerkship in Berlin and Brussels.

His doctoral thesis deals with European State aids and was supervised by Prof. Dr. Meinrad Dreher at the University of Mainz.
