Christine Wahl

Chris Wahl is an ICF-certified MCC, executive coach, and organization development consultant who has coached executive leaders and their teams for over two decades.

Chris brings a developmental perspective to her coaching work, helping others build their capacity to succeed beyond the urgent and recognize opportunities to create a thriving professional life. Sought after for her wise counsel, appreciative approach, clarity, and pragmatism, Chris works with clients interested in generating enlivening change aimed at creating more effective results. Chris founded and created the Georgetown University Leadership Coaching Certificate program, where she teaches courses on adult development and team coaching. She also teaches adult development in Georgetown’s Health and Wellness Coaching Program, and coaches in Notre Dame’s Executive MBA program.

Chris has worked with leaders and teams across the U.S., Canada, and Europe. Her clients are typically high-level/C-suite leaders who have large mandates to create change, do more with less, and foster a working culture where employees thrive and achieve results. She works in numerous industries, and examples of her clients over the years include Invesco, SunTrust Bank, Capital One, Coach, Inc., L’Oreal, Deltek, SolSystems, Association of Fundraising Professionals, KLoveAir, Mitre, Bon Secours Health System, Anne Arundel Hospital, Eaton, Arlington County Government, U.S. Federal Government, Government of Canada, and the SEC.

Chris has an M.A.Ed. in Counseling from the George Washington University and a B.A. in French and Psychology from the University of Tennessee. Post-graduate work includes studying two years with Dr. Otto Laske of the Interdevelopmental Institute as well as ten years with Dr. Susann Cook-Greuter, studying adult development. Chris is certified as a developmental coach, and certified to score and debrief the Maturity Assessment Profile (MAP); she also works with the MBTI, the Hogan Suite, and the Leadership Circle Profile 360 and Culture Survey.

Chris has developed numerous programs on the topic of adult development for coaches and leaders alike and created in-house ICF-accredited coach training specific to the financial industry. She has co-authored two books, published articles in OD and coaching magazines, has been interviewed on NPR and other radio programs, as well as for articles in various papers and magazines. Chris is often invited to speak at conferences as a keynoter and breakout workshop leader.
