Biography

My writing experience

I write a lot, am the supervisor of numerous theses and a trained expert in creative writing.

I have been writing in the academic field for over 20 years. Over 100 national and international publications are on my list. As a frequent writer, I am very familiar with the challenges of writing scientific papers.

I have accompanied and graded many scientific works - seminar papers, bachelor theses, master theses, dissertations - including several award-winning works. As a reviewer for international, peer-reviewed journals and co-editor of the journal "International Marketing Review", I support many authors in the publication of their research work. I know evaluation criteria and success factors for scientific work inside out.

I have been coaching writers in shaping their writing process for many years. I have a wide range of methods and a lot of practical knowledge to make writing processes more effective and efficient. As the icing on the cake for my many years of practical experience, I completed an apprenticeship as a writing trainer at the writersstudio in Vienna.

Supervision of writers as an affair of the heart

It is a matter close to my heart that writers achieve their goal, complete their work and publish it. I see theses not only as a means to an academic degree but as an opportunity for personal development.

My teaching activities at universities and technical colleges give me a lot of insights into a wide range of requirements for students and framework conditions for writing scientific papers. Understanding these requirements and optimally designing the writing process is part of my consulting concept.

In my daily practice, I keep observing similar challenges for writers when writing theses. Often it only takes a small impulse from the outside to get into a flow of writing.

From my own experience and from having looked after numerous students, I know about the challenges of writing when you have a busy family, are studying part-time, or have to cope with a life crisis. It is important to me to find writing spaces for individual situations.

I motivated students in sometimes very difficult situations to persevere and complete their work. Some have outgrown themselves and have written works that have been awarded prizes by the professional association of German market and social researchers, the Austrian Integration Fund and the University of Vienna.

Expert for empirical work

My diploma thesis awakened my passion for the design of empirical studies and statistics. In my own research work, I mainly work empirically and quantitatively. The majority of my supervised theses contain an empirical part.

I am an expert in the design of empirical studies, including setting up experiments, designing questionnaires and planning surveys. I acquired my knowledge of methods as part of my studies in the specialization subject "Statistics and Empirical Social Research", practical work in market research at Procter & Gamble and in numerous empirical research projects. I received my basic training in linear structural equation models at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor and used my knowledge in many research projects, partly in cooperation with my academic mentor, the LISREL expert Prof. DDr. Adamantios Diamantopoulos, deepened.
