Dr. Che Jiahua is Professor of Economics at China Europe International Business School (CEIBS). Prior to joining CEIBS, he was Professor of Economics at Fudan University. Before that, he taught at a number of leading universities, including Chinese University of Hong Kong, Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, University of Illinois (Urbana Champaign), and University of Notre Dame. He also used to be a visiting scholar at SPIER at Stanford University and a research fellow at William-Davidson Institution at Michigan University.

Dr. Che received his Ph.D. in Economics from Stanford University and B.A. in World Economy from Fudan University. His current research focuses primarily on Comparative Institutional Analysis, China’s Economy and Political Economy, Theory of the Firm, Development Economics and International Trade. His articles have been published in major academic journals such as Quarterly Journal of Economics, Review of Economic Studies, Journal of Public Economics, Journal of Law, Economics, and Organization, Economic Theory, Journal of Comparative Economics, and Canadian Journal of Economics. He was member of Editorial Board for Journal of Comparative Economics from 2004 to 2007. Dr. Che was a recipient of the Young Research Award from Chinese University of Hong Kong in 2009.
