Cox School of Business
Dr. Charlotte P. Barner is adjunct professor and faculty advisor for the Organizational Dynamics graduate concentration within SMU’s Annette Caldwell Simmons School Education and Human Development Master of Liberal Studies program. She teaches courses in The Transformative Power of Narratives, Exploring Human Potential, and Living Systems: Understanding Organizational Dynamics; and also co-leads the graduate school’s study abroad programs in Ireland and India. Charlotte’s doctorate is in human and organizational learning from The George Washington University. She has over twenty years of senior corporate leadership experience in organizational effectiveness, and human and organizational learning and development. Recent publications include co-authoring chapters in Advances in Positive Organizational Psychology (Emerald, June 2013) and the Handbook of Reciprocal Adult Development & Learning (Oxford Press, 2011), and co-authoring the book Building Better Teams: 70 Tools and Techniques for Strengthening Performance Within and Across Teams (Pfeiffer, 2012).
