Bayes Business School

Professor Barbara Casu Lukac is the Director of the Centre for Banking Research at Cass Business School. Barbara joined the Faculty of Finance at Cass in August 2007. Previously, she was a Senior Lecturer in Financial Studies with the University of Wales, Bangor. She has also worked at the University of Reading (UK); Aston University (UK) and the Catholic University of Milan (Italy).

Her research interests are in is empirical banking, although several of Barbara's research projects are cross-disciplinary and include aspects of financial regulation, structured finance, accounting and corporate governance. She is co-author of the book Introduction to Banking (FT Pearson Education). Barbara has recently co-edited (with Thorsten Beck) The Palgrave Handbook of European Banking (2017)
