Biography
I am an atmospheric scientist whose research focuses on the interaction between solar radiation and clouds. This encompasses both large scales, to better understand how spatial and temporal variability of clouds affects the amount of solar radiation reaching the surface, with implications for the solar renewable resource and cryosphere, and microscales, where radiative scattering feeds into applications such as satellite retrievals and remote sensing of clouds. I am a postdoctoral research associate at the Centre for Atmospheric Science at the University of Manchester, having read Natural Sciences at the University of Cambridge (B.A. and M.Sc.) and subsequently obtaining a Ph.D. in Atmospheric Physics from UMIST.
