Andreas von Bonin

Andreas von Bonin is a partner in Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer’s global antitrust, competition and trade (ACT) group. He has been based in the Brussels office since 2000. Andreas von Bonin`s practice focuses on European and German Competition Law. He has extensive experience of merger control and joint venture cases, European State aid procedures and antitrust compliance and investigations, as well as competition litigation before the EU courts. His specialisms also include regulatory advice with particular experience in the transport & logistics, finance and telecom & media sectors. He is recognized for his European and German Competition Law practice in Chambers Global and Juve legal handbooks. Andreas von Bonin obtained his law degree and doctoral degree in law (Dr. jur.) from the University of Freiburg (Germany) and an LL.M. degree from Columbia University Law School (New York, USA). He was admitted to the Cologne and Brussels (E-list) bars in 2001.
