About the course
Identify your organization’s competitive edge and market positioning to effectively compete in today's modern business world.
In today’s volatile, uncertain, complex, and ambiguous (VUCA) environment, the global business landscape’s rapid change has become the new normal. There are new organizational structures, an influx of new ventures and startups, and new products and services from traditional organizations. It can be tempting to fall back into a conventional organizational mindset as one approaches their competitive strategy. However, competing successfully requires incorporating VUCA preparedness into corporate strategic initiatives and thinking like an entrepreneur by identifying new market opportunities.
In this program, you'll gain the tools to identify your organization's competitive strengths, weaknesses, and market positioning to combat competition. You'll discover how to analyze market patterns, think entrepreneurial by preparing your organization for VUCA, and identify what makes your organization great for a sustainable competitive advantage.
By attending, you will:
- Apply the concepts of VUCA preparedness to “think” like an entrepreneur when creating a competitive strategic plan to combat well-established organizations.
- Learn how to analyze your organization’s strategic situation, positions, and competitive edge, and what makes your products/services great.
- Explore how behavioral science impacts strategy formulation and leverage customer-centric tools for an effective product/service launch and growth during times of uncertainty.
- Discover how to identify patterns in the market, industry threats, and new opportunities amid uncertainty.
Our live-online programs are delivered in a synchronous format where you'll engage with faculty, industry leaders, and a global set of peers in an interactive, high-impact virtual environment. Often, these programs blend live sessions with activities or projects, and readings to deepen one's understanding of the materials. The benefit to this format is that you'll receive Booth's rigorous content in short, digestible sessions held multiple times weekly and span over a few weeks.
Participants should expect to commit a total of 4-6 hours per week to this program.
This program includes four interactive, live-online sessions. Live-Sessions are held from 9 am-11 am CT on Mondays and Wednesdays for the April offering, and on Tuesdays and Thursdays for the June offering.
This program includes a live-virtual networking session, where participants will have an opportunity to introduce themselves to the cohort and share their work experience, as well as their most significant business challenge they are currently facing. Booth team members will host these forums, and will help continue post live-forum discussions onto the program's online discussion boards.
