About the course

This new purpose program has been carefully designed to help you rethink your organization’s commitment to both the environment and society as a whole. Enhance your business acumen, develop your soft skills and drive innovation while creating a better future for your business and the world.

The Sustainability: Your competitive advantage program allows participants to create new opportunities for their businesses through environmental, social and governance (ESG) frameworks. They will study specific cases that demonstrate how companies can do well by doing good; learn and apply the frameworks to their own organizations and measure the impact; and explore the new type of leadership and governance required to drive these changes.

The program is furthermore a hands-on learning experience where participants will engage with other business leaders, top faculty, and renowned panelists in applied debate and workshops.

Program

Over four comprehensive modules, business executives will gain the key insights they need to drive measurable change into their organizations using ESG frameworks. You will develop your sustainability mindset in order to prepare to capitalize on technology and other important tools to keep your business ahead of the curve.

JAM SESSIONS: At the end of each day you will get the chance to participate in an interactive debate with experts in sustainability from leading companies, professors and program alumni from previous intakes.

MODULE 1: SUSTAINABLE BUSINESS VALUE CREATION: WHY NOW?

Discuss the socio-economic catalyzers unleashing the urgency among companies to merge value creation and sustainability. Participants will learn how to leverage non-market strategies and partnerships to develop new business opportunities.

MODULE 2: INNOVATION AND TECHNOLOGY: ENVIRONMENTAL & SOCIAL IMPACT AT THE INNOVATION FRONTIER

Learn about sustainable innovation from the perspective of new leadership, driven by exponential technologies and inspired by the circular economy as a source of business model innovation.

MODULE 3: GOVERNANCE & SUSTAINABILITY: A WIN WIN. THE HOW? TOP DOWN AND BOTTOM UP APPROACH

In this module, we will focus on the role of Governance as a lever for value creation, risk reduction and fostering innovability and accountability. We will discuss key issues such as Purpose, Mission, stakeholders approach and the waterfall concept as well as implications at Shareholders level, Board of Directors and Sustainability Commission.

MODULE 4: SUSTAINABLE FINANCE: THE ULTIMATE IMPACT LEVER

Learn the requirements and advantages of being a sustainable company, to obtain special financing and a privileged position in negotiations with funders and governments, which are increasingly the great champions of sustainability.
