Biography

Central European University

Dr. Zsuzsa R. Huszar is an Entrepreneur, Researcher, and Educator with 15 years of experience in teaching at top universities in the U.S.A. and in Asia.

She is currently a Visiting Professor in the Department of Economics and Business at CEU and Adjunct Assistant Professor in the Department of Finance at NUS Business School at the National University of Singapore (NUS) while working on two new business start-ups to mitigate the information gap between retail and institutional investors giving better access to financial and market sentiment information. In the past, she has taught various finance subjects (valuations, financial markets, fixed income), and real estate valuation and computational thinking and programming in real estate. She strongly believes that it is essential to empower the young generation not only with plug and play technology applications but to provide them the tools and skillset to navigate in a tech based society and work environment successfully.

Previously, she was an Assistant Professor in Finance at the National University of Singapore and at the California State Polytechnic University, Pomona. She pioneered the non-traditional mortgage financing research area with her paper on “A Note on hybrid Mortgages”. Her more recent research interest on securities lending activities put her again amongst the first in a new branch of finance research, revealing real shadow financing. She is increasingly involved in policy and pension debate addressing retirement concerns and promoting finance education for all ages. She has been also involved in guest lecturing to empower women financial decision making.
