Biography
Clinical Associate Professor of Management Communication
Yu Shi joined New York University Stern School of Business as a Clinical Associate Professor of Management Communication in September 2014.
Professor Shi's research focuses on intercultural business communication and organizational communication. She also conducts research in related areas of political and economic structures of global media, ethics of big data analytics and transnational corporate strategies in China. Before joining NYU Stern, Professor Shi worked as an Associate Professor of Communication, with tenure, at Penn State University, teaching Public Speaking and Global Cultures and Communication.
Professor Shi received her B.A. in English from the Foreign Languages Institute, China, and her Ph.D. in Journalism and Mass Communications from the University of Iowa.
