Technion Israel Institute of Technology

Dr. Yossi Dashti holds a B.Sc. in Computer Information Systems (U. of San Francisco), an MBA in Information Technology (U. of California, Irvine), and a Ph.D. (Ben Gurion U.). His work and research focus on value creation of innovation entrepreneurship, success factors of high-tech startups, Mergers and Acquisitions (M&As), exit strategy, and the role of business networks. A senior lecturer, teaching at the Technion and Peking (PKU), Sichuan (SCU), and Renmin (RUC) Universities in China, Dr. Dashti leads the collaboration and technology transfer business development of Yeda-Weizmann Institute of Science in China. Dr. Dashti held technical and managerial positions with Western Digital, AST Computers, and Digital Equipment Corp., and served on the board of the United Nations ratified UN/EDIFACT Standards committee for Electronic Commerce. He served as a member of the California based Broadcom Corporation management team that led the company’s record-setting IPO (NASDAQ: BRCM) and the M&A integrations of 22 acquired companies in global locations, including the Israeli VisionTech that was founded by Technion graduates. Dr. Dashti is involved with and serves on the boards of NATAL – The Israel Trauma Center for Victims of Terror and War, The Merage Foundation for US-Israel Trade, and the Veteran Association of the IDF Search and Rescue 669 Unit. He served as member of the board for the American Technion Society (AST), Israel Venture Networks (IVN), and the American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC).
