Dr Yong Xin Guo is currently a Full Professor at the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, National University of Singapore (NUS). He is serving as Lab Supervisors for the MMIC Modeling and Packaging Lab and the Antennas and Scattering Processing Lab. Concurerntly, he is Director for the Peak of Excellence on Smart Medical Technology, NUS Suzhou Research Institute (NUSRI-SZ) and Co-Director, Center for Smart Sensing and AI, NUS Chongqing Research Institute (NUSRI-CQ). From September 2001 to January 2009, he was with the Institute for Infocomm Research, Singapore, as a Research Scientist. He has authored or co-authored over 500 journal and conference papers, and 4 book chapters. Thus far, his publications have been cited more than 13,250 times and the H-index is 65 (source: Google Scholar). He holds two granted U.S. patents, two granted China patents and over 50 filed Singapore/Chinese/PCT Patents, and some of them have been licensed to industries. His current research interests include microstrip antennas, implantable/wearable antennas, 3D printed antennas, MMIC modeling and design, RF energy harvesting and wireless power, and RF and millimeter-wave sensing for wireless communications, IoTs and biomedical applications. He has graduated 18 PhD students at NUS.

Dr Guo is a Fellow of IEEE and a Fellow of The Academy of Engineering, Singapore. He is serving as Editor-in-Chief, IEEE Journal of Electromagnetics, RF and Microwave in Medicine and Biology. He is a recipient of 2020 IEEE Microwave and Wireless Components Letters Tatsuo Itoh Prize of the IEEE Microwave Theory and Techniques Society (MTT-S). He has served as the IEEE Fellow Evaluation Committee for IEEE Engineering in Medicine and Biology Society (2019-2020). Dr. Guo was the Chair for IEEE AP-S Technical Committee on Antenna Measurement in 2018-2020. He has served as General Chair/Co-Chair for IEEE MTT-S IMBioC 2022, IEEE MTT-S IMWS-AMP 2020 and 2021, APMC 2019, AWPT 2017, ACES-China 2017, IEEE MTT-S IMWS-AMP 2015 and IEEE MTT-S IMWS-Bio 2013. He has served as Technical Program Committee (TPC) co-chair for IEEE MTT-S IMBioC 2020, IMWS-AMP 2019/2017 and RFIT2009.
