Biography:

Yen-Tsang CHEN obtained his Ph.D. from Escola de Administração de Empresas de São paulo of Fundação Getúlio Vargas (FGV/EAESp), São paulo in 2015. He received his Masters degree from the same institution in 2011 and a Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering in 2002 from Escola politécnica of Universidade de São paulo (USP). He worked for 10 years as engineer, project coordinator and manager for companies specialising in railway transport. Since obtaining his Masters degree, he has decided to dedicate his career to academic and research activities and has published papers in Brazilian and international journals. For his dissertation, Yen-Tsang worked on the Influence of the Buyer-supplier Relationship in the Supplier Selection Process through Controlled Experiments, Conjoint Analysis and Crossnational Comparisons. During his Ph.D. studies, he spent several months at China Europe International Business School (CEIBS) in Shanghai as visiting researcher to collect data and develop his research. Apart from his dissertation, his other research interests are in the area of Behavioural Operations, Capability Development and Operations Strategy.
